National Eating Disorders Awareness Week 2015 – Day 3

Today was an exciting day on the university campus where I work. I and two other co-workers set up a table in the student Commons with literature about eating disorders, screening tests for students to fill out, and a giant poster board on which students could hang positive body image messages for themselves and their friends. The poster was a big hit! The idea came from the Operation Beautiful website. Click here to learn more about the campaign.

On our poster I saw many encouraging messages:

“You are enough.”

“You are stronger than you think.”

“You are pretty. We all love you!”

“Love yourself.”

“You are worthy of love.”

“Beauty is more than physical appearance.”

What messages would you share with yourself or your friends? Start a positive body image campaign in your friend group and spread the love and positivity!

Peace, joy, and health,

Megan
